The Island is cur­rent­ly home to year-round ten­ants includ­ing the New York Har­bor School, a pub­lic high school focused on mar­itime and STEM edu­ca­tion, the Low­er Man­hat­tan Cul­tur­al Council’s Arts Cen­ter, an artist res­i­den­cy pro­gram and pub­lic gallery, overnight res­i­den­cy pro­grams from Shan­dak­en Projects and the Insti­tute for Pub­lic Archi­tec­ture, and the under-con­struc­tion QC Terme day spa. These are joined over two dozen cul­tur­al and edu­ca­tion­al part­ners, and a grow­ing num­ber of amenities.
