Trans­for­ma­tive pub­lic art is deeply root­ed in Gov­er­nors Island’s DNA. Through Gov­er­nors Island Arts, the Trust for Gov­er­nors Island presents pub­lic art projects that: 

• Range in scale from mon­u­men­tal to intimate 
• Direct­ly engage with the Har­bor and the water­front, pro­vide moments of sur­prise with­in expan­sive landscapes 
• Present new expe­ri­ences with­in his­toric architectures
• Allow for pro­longed and immer­sive explo­ration and discovery
