Chief Operating Officer
The Trust for Governors Island seeks a Chief Operating Officer to oversee a key portfolio for Governors Island, with holistic responsibilities for all day-to-day operations as well as responsibility for the planning and execution of strategic initiatives. This scope includes operations and maintenance of Island-wide facilities and infrastructure; transportation logistics including daily ferry service and terminal management; security and public safety; horticulture and landscaping functions across the Island’s world-class park and open space; and other operational matters.

Ecological Restoration Technician
The Trust for Governors Island seeks a seasonal Ecological Restoration Technician to monitor and eradicate invasive plant species, install native plants and seeds, and help manage current restoration areas.
Seasonal Gardener
The Trust for Governors Island seeks a Seasonal Gardener to help care and maintain the gardens and landscapes on Governors Island. This position is ideal for someone new to the horticulture field who has a demonstrated interest in native plants and ornamental gardening.
Allied Universal Security is seeking full time and part time security staff to support a safe, welcoming atmosphere on Governors Island. Park Ranger (full-time, permanent)
The National Park Service is hiring Park Ranger positions at Manhattan sites, including the Governors Island National Monument. These positions are located in Manhattan Sites, in one of the nine individually legislated units. The work involves presenting a complete and highly varied suite of structured programs (e.g., talks, tours, presentations, etc.) and providing related services to visitors.
